Our origin story is rooted in collaboration. In 2025, Erika Brown acquired the association management practice of AMCES Association Management & Consulting Ltd., bringing her 20+ years of experience in the not-for-profit and association sectors to lead a new chapter of excellence. While EDG Association Management Inc. now operates as an independent firm, we continue to work closely with the AMCES team to ensure our clients have access to a comprehensive list of services to support their needs.

Our team is made up dedicated association professionals, each bringing deep expertise, skills, and perspectives to their work. With many of our team member having, or in the process of achieving, a Certified Association Executive credential, we are committed to demonstrating industry-leading best practice and excellence in association leadership and management.
Erika is passionate about change management, knowledge mobilization, and building strong, well-governed associations. For over 20 years, she has brought a rigorous, project-based approach to helping associations and not-for-profit organizations streamline their governance, enhance their operations, and deliver high-impact programs.
A systems thinker, Erika excels at navigating complexity – balancing diverse stakeholder interests while identifying opportunities for collaboration and innovation. With experience in facilitation methods such as The Circle Way, she ensures that all voices are heard, risks are proactively managed, and strategies align with organizational goals.
As the owner and leader of EDG Association Management Services, Erika is committed to fostering a collaborative, inclusive team, and a positive work culture. She believes in nurturing talent, supporting staff in playing to their strengths, and creating an environment where both employees and associations can thrive.

Khadija is a seasoned administrative professional with over 20 years of experience in stakeholder engagement, corporate governance, and operations. Holding the CAE (Certified Association Executive) and ChPC (Chartered Professional Coach) designations, she brings a strong background in non-profit organizational excellence and sport leadership.
With extensive experience working with national organizations across the housing, health care, education, and sport sectors, Khadija is passionate about helping associations achieve their strategic goals through collaboration and effective governance. She thrives in team environments, ensuring operational efficiency and fostering meaningful partnerships.
An avid swimmer, Khadija enjoys spending time with family and embracing an active lifestyle.
Heather is an experienced professional supporting organizations across the public, private, and non-profit sectors for over 10 years. She specializes in process improvement and strategic communication and as an active collaborator, she is keen to find and implement holistic solutions that deliver meaningful results.
As a Member Engagement Administrator, Heather is the first point of contact for members. She manages inquiries, facilitates renewal processes, and crafts member communications. She also helps administer programs, continuing education credit and provides credentialing support.
Prior to this role, Heather helped organizations improve compliance processes, optimize management systems, and strengthen governance frameworks. Understanding that change is constant, Heather brings a flexible, solutions-oriented mindset, quickly adapting to shifting priorities while maintaining stability and impact.
Heather holds a Bachelor of Arts in Environmental Studies from Wilfrid Laurier University, a Technical Writing Certificate from Mount Royal University, and is a certified Environmental Professional (EP) through ECO Canada.
Ali provides a variety of services to EDG clients including Board and committee support, program and event coordination and membership administration. Ali is an organized, responsive, solutions-oriented team member who is committed to excellent client service.
Ali has a deep knowledge of computer applications and technology and holds a diploma in Business from Algonquin College.
Gillian is a dynamic and versatile professional with a proven track record in event planning, experiential marketing, sponsorship coordination, retail management, and team leadership. She brings a broad skill set and a collaborative approach to every role she undertakes.
As a retail manager with Lululemon, Gillian developed strong leadership capabilities and operational expertise, overseeing high-performing teams and driving business results while fostering relationships across diverse stakeholders. She continues to be deeply engaged in community initiatives—serving as Race Director for the Bumrun, a not-for-profit 5K road race supporting colorectal cancer charities.
Gillian has a strong aptitude for strategic planning and program development, with a keen ability to align organizational goals with meaningful initiatives. Whether she’s building community partnerships, managing large-scale events, or creating member-focused programming, she consistently delivers with intention, impact, and integrity.
Gillian holds a Bachelor of Arts in Communication from Simon Fraser University.
Sarah is a Certified Association Executive (CAE) and has experience in both the corporate and not-for-profit sectors. She works with a variety of EDG clients and has led several projects including the implementation and management of certification programs, sponsorship programs, and membership programs. Sarah has experience in a wide range of areas including strategic planning, governance, marketing and communications, education, and membership.
Sarah has an Honours Bachelor of Arts degree in sociology, with a concentration in law and social policy from Bishop's University. In 2017, Sarah earned a Graduate Certificate in international development and project management from Humber College.
Sarah loves to travel and has worked internationally in both Africa and Asia.

David has over 25 years of experience in the not-for-profit and charities sector and have worked as an Executive Director for three national organizations.
Over the last 15 years, he has worked as a consultant, providing association management services for several clients and has sat on several Boards and Committees of local associations. This has provided me with a unique opportunity to understand associations from both a Board member and staff perspective.
His areas of expertise include finance and administration, education and event management as well as governance, policy, marketing and program development. He has successfully developed, implemented, and managed several major events and sponsorship programs for national associations.
David has a Bachelor of Commerce degree from Carleton University with a concentration in marketing and human resources. He earned the Certified Association Executive (CAE) designation in 2014.
David is a father of two children, 4 fur babies and happily remarried in January 2025. Prior to this role, Christine worked as an independent contractor, providing consulting services to Indigenous organizations and professional associations, focusing on education program administration, membership support, and digital content management. Additionally, Christine is a dedicated Anishinaabe artist, specializing in traditional quillwork and cultural workshops.
With a passion for community engagement and a diverse skill set spanning administrative support, communications, and program development, Christine continues to contribute meaningfully to association management and cultural initiatives.
Lindsay is a professional with over a decade of experience in the not-for-profit sector, where she has supported various clients and demonstrated her exceptional communication and organizational skills.
Lindsay possesses an understanding of not-for-profit governance, strategic planning, benchmarking, and general association management. Lindsay specializes in developing strategy, membership services, communications, event planning and delivery, website/database management, and finding better policies and practices. Her strong communications skills along with a results-driven and collaborative approach ensures continuous improvement and the delivery of tailored solutions for organizational growth. This has provided her with a track record of advancing associations towards success.
She holds a diploma in Business Marketing from Algonquin College of Applied Arts and Sciences. Lindsay also holds the CAE (Certified Association Executive) professional designation from the Canadian Society of Association Executives. Lindsay's dedication and diligence were apparent in her studies as she earned the highest marks overall in the 2023 graduating class. This accomplishment earned her the prestigious appointment as the class valedictorian.
Christine is an experienced Association Coordinator with a strong background in certification administration, program management, and event coordination. With expertise in supporting a diverse range of professional associations, Christine has successfully managed grant administration, and website content using various association management platforms.
Prior to this role, Christine worked as an independent contractor, providing consulting services to Indigenous organizations and professional associations, focusing on education program administration, membership support, and digital content management.
